About Yardfruit Surprise

Miami’s best fruit might be growing next door. Yardfruit Surprise is a bilingual neighborhood project that turns surplus backyard fruit into seasonal mystery boxes for local buyers.

Less waste, more surprise

Our idea is simple: connect homeowners who have more fruit than they can use with neighbors who would love a taste. Mangoes, avocados, guava, starfruit and papaya may appear as the season allows. The contents are a surprise, not a fixed assortment.

Starting small, staying local

Our first-test plan is to work with three homeowners and offer 20 prepaid boxes. We want to learn what grows nearby, make local handoffs manageable and build from there—not promise a citywide service before we are ready.

Have a tree with extra fruit?

We offer free pickup of surplus fruit, subject to local availability and coordination. Share what you grow and your neighborhood when you get in touch. English and español are both welcome.
